How to Play Australian Lotteries

Powerball is Australia’s biggest official jackpotting lottery. Draws are held every Thursday at approximately 8:30 pm AEST. To play:
- Choose your 7 main numbers from 1 to 35.
- Choose 1 Powerball number from 1 to 20.
- Pay AU $1.10 per standard entry (PowerHit and System entries cost more).
- Entry sales close at 7:30 pm AEST on draw day.
To win Division 1, match all 7 main numbers plus the Powerball. There are 9 prize divisions in total.
Oz Lotto
Oz Lotto is drawn every Tuesday at around 8:30 pm AEST. Each standard entry costs AU $1.10 and works like this:
- Select 7 numbers from 1 to 47.
- Entry sales close at 7:30 pm AEST on Tuesdays.
Division 1 (jackpot) is won by matching all 7 numbers. Three supplementary numbers are also drawn to decide prizes in Divisions 2, 4 & 7.
Guaranteed minimum Division 1 pool: AU $3 million. Odds of Division 1: 1 in 62,891,499.
